When the homeowner, a modern working mother, purchased this home located on a quiet street overlooking a small lake, she knew a great deal of work needed to be done. One of her goals was to maximize the living space for her young family. Janus Design Group fulfilled this request, along with others, completing the project in phases over the course of a few years.
What was originally a builder’s spec home was transformed. Starting with a few minor structural changes, Janus Design Group added custom finishes, architectural elements, a vibrant art collection, and a mix of new and vintage furnishings—including an antique desk purchased by the homeowner’s grandfather at a 1920’s World’s Fair in Europe. The completed project reflects the warm and inviting personality of this active Texas family.
